Mine Safety Supervisor (S1, S2, S3)

This nationally recognised training program provides participants with the units of competency required to achieve a Statement of Attainment which forms part of RII30109 Certificate III in Surface Extraction Operations or RII30209.

Upon successful completion of this training program, participants will have acquired the skills and knowledge to enable them to undertake the role of and perform the duties and position requirements of a Mine Safety and Health Representative. Students who enrol into this course must have a minimum of 3 months onsite work experience in the Mining Industry or hold a Standard 11 (Mining Induction) Statement of Attainment.

  • RIIOHS301A Conduct Safety and Health Investigations (S2)
  • RIICOM301B Communicate Information (S3)

No expiry date however Section 84 of the Coal Ming Act states that it should be renewed every 5 years. However site specific renewal periods may apply. E.g. Every 1 to 2 years.
